Delores Rae Keegan, 83, died May 23, 2015, at Sterling House of Great Bend. She was born Aug. 23, 1931, at Little River, the daughter of Ray and Elsie (Eaton) Folck. Mrs. Keegan was a Great Bend resident and taught public school for 39 years, the last 30 years in Great Bend at Morrison and Jefferson Elementary Schools.
She was a member of National Education Association, KNEA, National Parent-Teacher Association, Barton County Association of Retired School Personnel, Emporia State University Alumni Association, Golden Belt Community Concert Association, Great Bend Panther Booster Club, and a former member of Congregational Christian Church, Little River.
Survivors include two sons, David Keegan of Norman, Okla., and Kevin Keegan of Astoria, N.Y.; three sisters: Vada Freund and her husband August of Great Bend, Virginia Buehler of Golden, Colo., and Norma Baker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Teresa Willis-Keegan of Norman, Okla.; two grandchildren, Jon R. Keegan and Katherine Keegan, both of Norman, Okla.; and eight nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend. Interment will be at Bean Cemetery, Little River. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 29, at the funeral home.
