Dolores Marie Dunning 1941 - 2012


FORT WORTH, Texas — Dolores Dunning, 70, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away April 27, 2012 in Arlington, Texas after courageously battling cancer for 26 years.
Dolores was born on June 26, 1941 to Jean J. and Elizabeth (Baxa) Oborny. She graduated from Fort Hays State University.  On July 4, 1963 Dolores married Leon Richard Dunning in Timken. She was a second grade teacher at Jefferson East in Hays, and Carroll Peak and Edward Briscoe schools in Fort Worth, Texas. She retired in 2000 after 36 years of teaching.
Mrs. Dunning was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, St. Maria Goretti Women’s Guild and the Fort Worth Womens Club.
Survivors include her husband Leon; children Catherine Young and husband Thomas, Michael and wife Kelly, David and wife Renee, Gregg and wife Kellyann, and Jeffrey; grandchildren Sarah, Jonathan, Paul, Daniel, Deborah, Joshua, Audrey, Maria, Bridget, Clare, Michael, Adelaide, Joseph, Helen, Lucia, Greyson, and Emerson; brothers Edmund Oborny and wife Carol of Bison; Gene Oborny and wife Dee of Centennial, Colo.; Kenneth Oborny and wife Patty of Timken; Marion Oborny and wife Madonna of Hoisington; and sister Millie McCloy and husband Martin of Loveland, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents.  
Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas with a rosary at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
