KANSAS CITY — Donald E. McCosh, 77, died March 27. Born Nov. 14, 1933 in Traer, he was the son of Earl Francis McCosh and Zelma Fagan McCosh. He was a 1951 graduate of Great Bend High School and then attended Fort Hays State University. After graduating from FHSU in 1955, he enlisted in the United States Army and served for two years in the Intelligence Corps. After his honorable discharge, he continued service in the U.S. Army Reserves until Nov. 28, 1961. In 1953 he married Beverly Ann Brown. They later divorced.
Survivors include four sons, Kevin and wife Kristina of Bonner Springs, Joel and wife Joni of Parkville, Mo., Brian and wife Patsy of Louisiana, and Doug and wife Brenda of Parkville, Mo.; one grandson, Dylan; and his sons mother, Beverly; a sister, Wilma Bahr of Albert; and a brother Kenneth McCosh and wife Karen of Hillsdale, Mich.
As per his wishes, he is having a private ceremony. A memorial service will be held at a later time for close friends and family.
