Donald Joseph Vest, 73, of Great Bend, Kansas passed away Friday, January 22nd, 2021.
Born on January 12th, 1948 to Edwin and Louise (Gabel) Vest.
Don was a U.S. Army Veteran and a talented carpenter, a skill he was taught by his grandfather. He was an avid KU basketball fan, enjoyed gardening, and was well known for his award-winning breads and cinnamon rolls. Don was passionate about teaching Native American culture and muzzleloading history. He will be remembered as a man who always had a cup of coffee in his hand and a story to tell.
Survived by his children Brooke (Travis) Boltman, Kristin (Anthony) Dail, Lindsay (Justin) Cooper, Ian (Jennifer) Vest; 9 grandchildren; longtime companion Dee Steinert; Sisters Beverly (Charlie) Rolfs, Mary Lou Headley; Brother David Vest. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place, with services pending with Bryant Funeral Home.
