Donald Maynard Beers Jr., 52, died Aug. 20, 2015, at his home in Great Bend. Born July 10, 1963, he was the son of Donald and Mary (Brown) Beers Sr. A lifetime Barton County resident he was a machinist for Aaron’s Repair. He was a hot rod, motorcycle, and drag racing enthusiast, also enjoying tools, guns, rock and roll, and electronics.
Survivors include two daughters, Courtney Nicole Beers of Wichita and Brittany Beers of Dodge City; and two grandchildren, Ariella and Kylan Beers of Wichita.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
