HOISINGTON — Doran Jay Margheim, 65, died Feb. 9, 2021, in Salina surrounded by his loved ones. Doran was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Hoisington, to Rudolph and Martha (Brack) Margheim. Doran married Cynthia (Ferguson) November 1980, in Hoisington, and were later divorced.  

Doran, a lifetime resident of Hoisington, was a long time, devoted driller for L.D. Drilling. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and the Emmanuel Brotherhood, Hoisington.

Survivors include three daughters, Justina Yott of Hoisington, Joni Margheim of Salina and Angel Clark of Albert; ten grandchildren, Dylan Yott, Dayne Yott, Deryk Yott, Layla Redetzke, Paige, Kaylin and Jace Jacobs, Chanler, Tessa, and Trista Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Margheim.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Ron Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Hoisington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 14, with the family receiving friends from 5 -6 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
