Dorothy Louise Dottie Freeman

WICHITA — Dorothy Louise “Dottie” Freeman, 74, received her eternal reward on Nov. 5, 2016. Dottie spent 24 years as Director of Main Place Youth Teen Challenge Center in Kingman where she and her staff ministered to more than 600 at-risk teenaged girls. She was also a legal guardian to Ms. Ashley Chaffin.
Survivors include her husband, Seth Freeman Sr.; two sons, Marty (Polly) Freeman and Randy (DeNita) Freeman; a brother, Thomas R. Harris Jr.; two sisters, Linda J. Harris and Ethel May Ellers; and six grandchildren, Todd (Sarah), Amber, Troy, Michael, Noah and Benjamin Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Harris.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Bethel Life Center, 3777 S. Meridian in Wichita. Visitation with family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at The Altar, 321 S. 162nd in Goddard. A memorial has been established with The Altar. Share condolences at www.CozineMemorial.com.
