WINFIELD — Dorothy Mae Wesseler, 91, passed away June 4 at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield. Born June 18, 1922, in Claflin, she was the daughter of Henry and Tillie (Riemann) Janke. On Nov. 18, 1945, she married Orville E. Wesseler. She was a homemaker, school lunch cook, and school bus driver.
Survivors include, two sons, Paul and wife, Connie of Dover, Fla., and Arlon and wife, Marsha of Winfield; a daughter, Lois and husband, Denis Hammer of Ellinwood; a sister, Leda Grace Janke of Aurora, Colo.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a brother, Raymond Janke.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 13 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled. Online condolences may be made at www.milesfuneralservice.com.
