NESS CITY — Dorothy Marie Herman, age 91, passed away at Cedar Village Long Term Care, Ness City, on May 11, 2016. She was born on June 17, 1924 in Russell, the daughter of Herbert and Isabelle Gager Dumler.
She was a near lifetime resident of Ness City.
On Aug. 28, 1942, she married John Herman. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1996.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Ruth) Herman, Great Bend; daughter, Diana (George) Harmison, Forreston, Texas; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Virginia Cranston.
Funeral service was on Monday at the United Methodist Church, Ness City. Burial was in the Ness City Cemetery.
