GREAT BEND — Edith Luella Crossland, 98, died January 2, 2019, at Medicalodges, Great Bend, Kansas. 

She was born August 20, 1921, on the family farm in Union Township, Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Evangeline (Nattaford) Stoskopf.

She married Robert L. Crossland on February 14, 1948, in Hoisington, Kansas. Together they moved to Oklahoma where they spent many years before moving back to Hoisington. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1976. Edith then moved to Great Bend in 1996, for health reasons.

Edith was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hoisington.

She is survived by a son, Steven Crossland of Alvord, Texas; and two grandchildren, Michael Crossland and Tamara Worman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Crossland; a daughter, Marcia Kay Crossland; and three sisters, Wanita Stark, Corrine Saylar, and Helen Larson.

Friends may call 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, and 9 a.m. until service Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January, 8, 2020, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Rev. Seong Lee presiding. Burial will follow in Hoisington Cemetery.
