HOUMA, La. — Edith Marie Carroll King, 89, a native of Barton County, and Houma, La., died on Aug. 19, 2015. Born May 2, 1926, she was the daughter of James and Clarissa Carroll.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Houma, La.
Survivors include three sons, David R. King and James L. King, of Edmond, Okla., and Arthur C. “A.C.” King, of Houma, La.; a daughter, Debra Pearce, of Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Betty Smith, of Hoisington; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. King; brothers, James Walter “Pete” Carroll and Charles William “Bill” Carroll; and sisters, Irene Hickey, Ruby Farnsworth and Geneva Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Okla.
