Eileen Ida Hagerman 1922-2016

LARNED - Eileen Ida Hagerman, 94, was promoted to her eternal home on Dec. 27, 2016 at The Gardens assisted living facility in Kansas City, Mo.
Eileen was born March 22, 1922, in Bison, to Henry and Eva Wienick Schwindt and was the youngest of six children. She graduated from Bison High School in 1940 after which she worked at Cessna Aircraft, the Great Bend Airbase, and American State Bank.
On June 15, 1948, she married Walter Hagerman. He preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1977. They were blessed with four children.
She was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years. In 1968, she returned to work and had several jobs, which included working for Louis James, attorney, Roth Equipment, and Larned State Hospital, before retiring June 1, 1989.
Survivors include one son, Bill Hagerman and wife Valorie, Kansas City, Mo., two daughters, Shirley Brownlee and husband Dale, Kansas City, Mo., Donna Killgore and husband Brett, Somerville, Texas; one sister, Esther Allen, Stafford; nine grandchildren: Jenee Ginardi (Danny), Sara Cousatte (Justin), Abigail Hagerman, Matthew Hagerman (Haley), Elizabeth Hagerman, Stacey Fitch (Lance), Bryce Hagerman (Nikki), Nicole Killgore, Mike Gregory (Mandy); and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harry Schwindt and Arthur Schwindt; two sisters, Olga Roberts and Hannah Schwindt; one son, Dennis Hagerman; and a grandson, Darin Brownlee.
Eileen was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She belonged to Grace Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2017 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at Beckwith Mortuary, with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
