Eldon J. Schremmer 1951 - 2017

BEAVER — Eldon J. Schremmer, 65, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017, after a brief illness. Born on Oct. 2, 1951, at Hoisington, he was the son of Walter R. and Matilda J. (Zorn) Schremmer. A Barton County resident all his life, Eldon was a self-employed over-the-road truck driver for many years prior to his retirement.
He was of the Catholic faith, and enjoyed drag racing, farming, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a brother, Kenny Schremmer and his wife Rosie, of Hoisington; two sisters, Marilyn Stapleton of Greeley, Colo., and Jan Frenzl and her husband Keith, of Great Bend; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Odin with Fr. Ted Stoecklein officiating. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Beaver. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held following the burial. Memorial donations are designated to the Eldon Schremmer Memorial Fund.
