Eleanor J. Parks 1936-2015

WOODWARD, OKLA. — Eleanor Joan (Gallaugher) Parks, 78, of Woodward, Okla., died Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Woodward Regional Medical Center.  Born Nov. 3, 1936 at Medicine Lodge, she was the daughter of William James Gallaugher and Edith Frances (Osborn) Gallaugher.  On April 17, 1959 she married Ronald K. Parks in Enid, Okla. He survives.
Eleanor was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, and worked at American Family Insurance in Ellinwood for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; two sons, Kenneth (Tonya) Parks of Elkhart, and Ronald “Stony” Parks of Woodward, Okla.; five grandchildren: Tyler, Cole, Chance, Caleb, and Whitney Parks; one great-grandchild, Andria Leann Parks; one brother, John( Bobbie) Gallaugher of Isabel; one sister, Pam Gallaugher of Albuquerque, NM.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Julie A. Parks; a grandson, Brent Allen Parks; two brothers, Billy Jack Gallaugher and Jim Gallaugher; two sisters, Imogene Woodward and Patricia Parr.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 8, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
