Eleanor L. Dolly Aumiller 1933-2015

KINGMAN — Eleanor L. “Dolly” Aumiller passed away Feb. 3, 2015 at Kingman Community Hospital.
Dolly was born April 22, 1933 in Lambert, Ark. to parents, Genevieve (Pfeifer) and William Brenton. She was raised by her mother, her step-father James Murphy and her Grandmother Anna Pfeifer.
She graduated from Hays High in 1951. After high school she attended airline school in Kansas City. On July 10, 1952 she married the love of her life — Donald “Don” Aumiller. They were married 62 years. Early on, Don and Dolly moved around quite a bit, living in Great Bend for many years. They later moved to Kingman where they lived since 1974.
Dolly owned and operated an antique store in Kingman for many years. She was a member of the American Teddy Bear Artists Guild. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, decorating, bowling, fishing and most of all, her family and friends.
They had three children — Sheryl “Sherry” Cheely, Great Bend; Linda “Raine” (Steve) Sebastian, Raymore, Mo.;. and Michael “Mike” (Evie) Aumiller, Kingman. Grandchildren include Heather (Wayne) Gambrell, Ian “Chris” (Michelle) Lofwall, Shane (Jamie) Aumiller, Dillon (Dawn) Aumiller, Rory Aumiller, Stephanie King, Cory (Marie) Tholl, Josh (Jamie) Tholl. Great grandchildren include Elliott Malone, Willow Malone, Ciara Malone, Genevieve Gambrell, Gavin Aumiller, Maddox Aumiller,Lily Aumiller, Jack Lofwall, Justine Lofwall, Leo Aumiller, Mikayhla Aumiller. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen “Kathy” (Bill) Lane, nieces and nephews and many beloved cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Ray Cheely.
A casual remembrance of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus, Kingman. A light lunch will be served.
