LYONS — Cletis Roy ‘C.R’ Ringwald, 71, of Lyons, Kan., passed away Aug. 4, 2026, at Sterling Village, Sterling, Kan. He was born Feb. 26, 1955, in Great Bend, Kan., the son of Carl and Edna (Ewalt) Ringwald.

C.R. was a near lifelong Lyons resident. He graduated from Chase High School, Chase, Kan, with the class of 1974. C.R. served in the United States Army. He was a farmer, truck driver, and welder. C.R. enjoyed riding his motorcycle, helping other people, and spending time with friends.

On Aug. 13, 1994, C.R. was united in marriage with Sharon Kay Admire, at the Ringwald Family Farm, rural Chase. She preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 2000.

He is also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Calvin Ringwald. C.R. is survived by his son, Chad Ringwald of Hutchinson, Kan.; daughter, Kristina Jarrett and husband Cody of Hutchinson, Kan.; sister, Constance Sudbeck of Ellinwood, Kan.; adopted sister, Carrie Ringwald of Kanopolis, Kan.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and caregiver, Shaletta Saling of Lyons, Kan.

Graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, with Pastor Kenton Abbott officiating. Memorials may be given to the Sterling Village (for the activity fund) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
