OTIS — Esther Brack 98, died Aug. 31 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born Dec. 17, 1912 in Otis, she was the daughter of George and Sophia (Kindsvater) Freidenberger. On April 9, 1931 she married Harry Edward Brack in Otis. He died on Jan. 21, 1984. A lifelong resident of Rush County, she was a nurses aid at the Rush County Memorial Hospital in LaCrosse before her retirement.
Mrs. Brack was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis and Sixty Plus in LaCrosse.
Survivors include a son, Keith W. Brack of Great Bend, a daughter, Annette Ray and husband, Jim of Milford; three brothers, Richard Freidenberger, of Wichita, Herbert Freidenberger, of Holton, and Alex Freidenberger, of Bison; two sisters, Helen Lorenz, of Great Bend, and Ruth Ward, of Ukiah, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sophia (Kindsvater) Freidenberger; her husband, Harry Edward Brack; a son, Leonard Brack; an infant son, Robert Arnold Brack; a daughter, Wanda Hale; a brother, George Freidenberger; and two sisters, Elma Deines, And Alice Kensey.
The family will be conducting a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis, with Pastor Bruce Adamson officiating. Burial will be at the LaCrosse City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis, or the American Diabetes Association
