FORT DODGE — Eugene O. Walker, 86, died July 2, 2016 at the Kansas Soldiers Home, Fort Dodge.
He was born Sept. 23, 1929 at Roxana, Okla., the son of Charlie and Easter Lily (Black) Walker.
Eugene graduated from Preston High School in Preston. He earned his business degree from Wichita State University. Mr. Walker served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On May 27, 1956 he married Audrey Schmitt at Pawnee Rock.
Eugene is survived by two sons, Ford Walker and wife Carmen, Spanish Fort, Ala.; Terry Walker and wife Faye, Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Cynda Graff. Lynnwood, Wash.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Audrey Schmitt; a brother and a sister.
Graveside service will be held at Pawnee Rock Cemetery at noon Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the Kansas Soldiers Home in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 6th Ave, Dodge City, KS, 67801.
