Eugene P. Gene Weber

 

Eugene P. "Gene" Weber, 53, died Sept. 2 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born June 1, 1957 at Great Bend, the son of George and Lydia (Schwartz) Weber.

He married Vicki Nicholson November 18, 1978 at Great Bend, Kansas and was co-owner of Weber Brothers House Movers. Mr. Weber was a lifetime resident of Great Bend.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose, Great Bend.

Mr. Weber is survived by wife Vicki Weber, of the home; two sons: Sgt. David A. Weber and wife Kayleen of Havelock, N.C., and Scott L. Weber and companion Shawna Anderson of Great Bend; one daughter: Jody M. Erb and husband Michael of Great Bend; four sisters, Judy Schroeder of Lincoln, Jolene Schridde of Great Bend, Marilyn "Fuzzy" Chansler of Great Bend, and Denise Walton of Stafford; two brothers, George Weber of Great Bend and Donald Weber of Burnet, Texas; and five grandchildren, Mari Erb, Andrew Erb, Sean Erb, Emma Weber, and Randy Weber. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Weber and one sister, Joyce Pugh.

The vigil Service will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. The

Celebrant is Father Reginald A. Urban and interment is at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation if from 1 to 9 p.m., Monday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. A memorial fund is set up at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
