NEWTON — Evelyn M. Dirks, 99, died Tuesday (June 5, 2018) at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton. She was born on the family farm near Pawnee Rock, Kan. on July 14, 1918, the daughter of Jacob A. and Carrie Ratzlaff Dirks. Evelyn would later graduate from Bethel College in North Newton and continued to live in the Newton area.
