LARNED — Fheno G. Perez, 103, passed away on March 9, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi S. Francis in Wichita.

He was born July 31, 1918 in Johnstown, Penn., the son of Pedro A. and Isabel Gurerro Perez.

A lifetime area resident, he was a John Deere farm equipment mechanic and a valued member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned. He loved woodworking, whittling, car rides, watching westerns and the rodeo.

On March 6, 1954, he married Grace L. Henderson in Larned; she preceded him in death on May 6, 2021.

Survivors include son, Reginald (Erika) Perez, Wichita; daughter, Regina (Harold) Henderson, Wichita; brother, Raymond (Betty) Perez, Larned; two sisters, Lola Perez and Ann Perez, both of Larned; sister-in-law ErmaLea (Herman) Butler, Harrison, Ark.; and five grandchildren, Alyssa Henderson, Phoenix, Ariz., Kevin (Kayla) Perez, Wichita, Makayla Perez, Wichita, Ashly Tennant, Littleton, Colo., and Nicholas Tennant, Wichita. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Ernest Perez, Harry Perez; and three sisters, Mary L. Perez, Josephine G. Perez, and Petra Perez.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix and Father James Billinger presiding. Service will be viewable via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary with a rosary and vigil beginning at 7 p.m. Burial will be at Larned Cemetery, Larned.
