LARNED — Francis F. Prosser, 88, passed away Dec. 25, 2017 in Larned.
He was born Oct. 24, 1929, in Larned, the son of Francis Joseph and Addie Lang Prosser. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer and a postal worker. Frank was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post No. 106. On June 2, 1956, he married Viola Moeder in Odin. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Edward (Kelley) Prosser and Michael (Wendy) Prosser, both of Omaha, Neb.; three daughters, Kim (Kurt) Breitenbach, Wichita; Patty (Michael) Minear, Wichita; and Nancy Baker, Kansas City; a sister, Jane Bordewick, Seward; 11 grandchildren, Steven (Georgia) Jones, Luke Minear, Annie (Chase) Koch, Alex (Molly) Breitenbach, Sam Breitenbach, Elizabeth, Maggie and Joe Prosser, Avery and Grant Shepherd, Katie Prosser; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Werth.
Funeral Mass is scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Vigil Service and Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary in Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery with military graveside rites.
