Francisco “Frank” Sanchez, age 42 years, of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on Monday morning, November 2, 2020 at Orchard Gardens Care and Rehab Center in Wichita, Kansas. Frank was born on
January 15, 1978 at McAllen, Texas to Rosaura Sanchez. He moved to Great Bend in October of 1986. Frank graduated from Great Bend High School in 1996, and then attended Barton Community College for a time. He worked for Larned State Hospital of Larned, Kansas as a Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Tech. Frank loved to cook, taking road trips, and spending time with family and friends.
He loved to watch football on television and was a big San Francisco 49ers fan.
Survivors include his father, Israel “Lalo” Sanchez of Great Bend, Kansas; one sister, Monica Ybeth (and her husband, Victor Manuel) Galvez of Great Bend, Kansas; one niece, Jessica Yvette Galvez; two nephews: Victor Alejandro “Alex” Galvez and Victor Manuel “Trey” Galvez, Jr.; his birth mother, Rosaura Sanchez and his grandmother Antonia Sanchez, both of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico; many cousins and a host of friends. Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Noemi R. “Mimi” Sanchez on March 28, 2014 and his maternal grandmother, Teresa (Rosales) Ramos.
Cremation has been chosen. Graveside Inurnment Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 at the Great Bend Cemetery North in Great Bend, Kan. with Father Don Bedore officiating.
