LARNED — Fredrick “Fred” L. Reno, 71, died Sept. 13 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Born July 9, 1941, in Kankakee, Ill., he was the son of Irvin and Marian Bittle Reno. A resident of Larned since 2005, formerly of Kingman, he was a retired computer programmer. On March 14, 1964, he married Mary Charlene Johnston in Derby. She survives. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and always had plans for tomorrow.
Mr. Reno was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was of the Christian faith.
Other survivors include three daughters, Nita Lenz and husband Rudi of Boonton Township, N.J., Kathy Henderson and husband Lee of Great Bend, and Stacy Hamrick and husband Travis of Larned; one cousin, Valerie White of Cabery, Ill., eight grandchildren, Oliver and Dominic Lenz, John and Kristina Whyatt, Michael and Megan Scrivner, and Mark and Madeline Hamrick. He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Irving Bentley.
Memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman with Pastor Dan Lundgren presiding. Friends may sign a registrar book from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday and from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday at Morell Funeral Home.
