Gary Wayne Fletcher, 61, died Feb. 6 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.  Born Dec. 28, 1953 at Great Bend, he was the son of Bernie E. and Dorothy (McKnight) Fletcher.
Mr. Fletcher was a longtime Great Bend resident, living in Newton, for the past two years. He was a carpenter and roughneck. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Great Bend.  He enjoyed traveling, and playing pool.  He also enjoyed singing and playing his guitar, sharing his gift of music with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Gina (McElroy) Fletcher, of the home; his mother, Dorothy Fletcher, Great Bend; two sons, Clinton Shea Fletcher and wife Jennifer of Ellsworth, and Dakota Wayne Fletcher of Great Bend; one daughter, Jadin Jo Fletcher of the home; a step daughter, Christina Marie Bybee and her husband Darrell L. of Walton; four brothers: Richard Fletcher  and his wife Martha of Great Bend; Danny Fletcher and his wife Glenda of Great Bend; Joe Fletcher of Great Bend; and Steven Fletcher and his wife Alexis of Wichita; five sisters: Sharon Mitchell and her husband Norman of Tucumcari, NM; Lois Kimberlin of Great Bend; Betty Ward and her husband Ronnie of Great Bend; Candy Robison and her husband Rick of Great Bend; two grandchildren, Cameron and Jimmie Urbanek; one step grandson: Jared Bybee.  He was preceded in death by his father and by an infant daughter, Clancy Jo Fletcher.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Don Paden, with cremation to follow services. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday, all at Bryant Funeral Home.
