ST. JOHN — Genevieve Scalzi Hull, 75, died Jan. 1 at her home in St. John. She was born Apr. 25, 1935, in Syracuse, N.Y., the daughter of Giovani Batist and Caroline (Santel) Scalzi. On Feb. 27, 1954, she married William Don Hull in Alhambra, Calif. A cooking supervisor for 25 years at St. John Schools, she had been a resident of St. John since 1962. She attended a dental trade school in California and Fort Hays State College, Hays.
Mrs. Hull was a member of St. John The Apostle Catholic Church and Rebekah’s Lodge, and was a past Girl Scout leader and Boy Scout den mother.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Eugene G. Hull II, Parsons, and Carl J. Hull, St. John; two daughters, B.J. Delgadillo, St. John, and Gina McKown, Arkansas City; a sister, Carmella Busco, Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter-in-law, Iva R. Hull, Hudson; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William D. Hull, and two brothers, Michael and Guy Scalzi.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Minnis Chapel in St. John. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be given as a love gift to the family, in care the funeral home.
