CAMERON, Mo. — Genola McCarter, 90, a long-time resident of Great Bend, passed away on Jan. 31 at the Missouri Veterans’ Home in Cameron, Mo. Born July 2, 1923, in La Crosse, she was the daughter of David Nelson and Esther (Searl) Sankey. After graduating high school in La Crosse, she attended Grace Hospital Nursing School in Hutchinson.
