LA CROSSE — George F. Reha, 90, died April 22, at the Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in La Crosse. Born Oct. 4, 1923, in rural McCracken, he was the son of Frank and Lillian (Richter) Reha. A lifelong resident of Rush County, he was the owner of Reha Automotive in La Crosse before his retirement. In 1941 he graduated from Bison High School. On Jan. 4, 1947, he married Janita Krug in Great Bend.
Mr. Reha was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Rush Center, La Crosse Country Club, and a 60 year member of American Legion Post 33 in La Crosse.
Survivors include, two daughters, Jana Hemken of Rush Center, and Judith Richardson of Bellevue, Wash.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Phillip Hemken; and one brother, Daniel Reha.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 28 at Hope Lutheran Church in Rush Center, with the Rev. Patricia Reep officiating. Inurnment will be at La Crosse City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Hope Lutheran Church in Rush Center, followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the La Crosse Country Club or Hope Lutheran Church in Rush Center.
