HOWE, Okla. — George Wellington Foster Jr., 79, passed away Dec. 5, 2017, in Heavener, Okla. He was born Jan. 18, 1938 in Guthrie, Okla. to George Sr. and Alice (Miller) Foster. He was a retired Superintendent for AL Abercrombie, Inc for 35 years in Grand Bend. He was also part owner of Sons Service, Inc.
George was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Patsy Foster of the home; three sons, Brett Alan Foster and Wade Scott Foster, both of Great Bend and Michael Lee Foster of Choctaw, Okla.; his mother-in-law, Mildred Abercrombie of Wichita; seven grandchildren: and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lenora Brack.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Okla. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park. The family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Heavener Fire & Rescue in care of Tim Davis, Fire Chief, P.O. Box 541 Heavener, Ok. 74937.
