OVERBROOK — Gerald ‘Jerry’ Warren Allen passed away on Dec. 10, 2025, at Ruble Ranch in Overbrook, Kan. He was born on Aug. 10, 1940, to Kenneth and Muriel (Brenn) Allen in Stafford, Kan.

On May 27, 1962, Jerry was united in marriage to Joanne Street in Stafford, Kan. To this union three children were born, Lars in 1963, Michael in 1967 and Katrina in 1970.

Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Lars; by his parents, Kenneth and Muriel; and by his three brothers-in-law, Jack Houston, Bill Street and John Street.

Jerry leaves a very loving and successful family, his wife Joanne of over 63 years; his two children Michael Allen (Maureen Cameron) and Katrina (Dan) Poeta; his sister, Pat Houston; his four Grandchildren, Jesse and Anahi Allen, Shannon Allen, Gabrielle and Drew Benson, and Brendan Poeta; his six great-grandchildren, Ebony Longfellow, Bailey Phillips, Phalen Hodges, Haley, Anthony, and Emelia; his two great-great-grandchildren Emory and Grayson; several nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Jerry will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025 at the Overbrook United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Stafford Cemetery in Stafford, Kan. on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday at the church.
