Gerald Reichuber 1945 - 2018

RAYMOND — Gerald Reichuber, 72, passed away on Feb. 15, 2018 at his home in rural Raymond, KS. Gerald was born in Great Bend, KS on March 28, 1945 to Arnold Sr. and Francis (Hertach) Reichuber. He was a lifetime Rice County resident graduating from Bushton HS in 1963. He then served three years in the Army Reserve. Later he worked as a meat cutter and inspector in the Claflin and Great Bend areas. He also worked for Superior Essex in Hoisington.
Memberships include 60 years in the Knights of Columbus where he was 3rd and 4th degree member; and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood.
Survivors include, wife, Sharon Reichuber; daughter, Abbie Reichuber; brothers, Leon (Marilyn) Reichuber and Arnold (Nora) Reichuber. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ashley Reichuber; and sister, Patricia Shields.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein presiding. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1-5 p.m. at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood with Vigil service/Rosary that evening at 7 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or Donor’s Choice in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
