Glenda L. Ensz 1927 - 2012

HUTCHINSON — Glenda L. Ensz, 85, went to be with her Lord on July 12 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Born March 3, 1927 on the family farm near Inman, she was the daughter of Henry E. and Mabel A. (Ball) Hassman. On April 18, 1948 she married Harold D. Ensz in Hutchinson. He went to be with his Lord on March 3, 1998. She retired from Hubco after 11 years of service. Glenda loved to sew and make things for others. She also enjoyed cooking, camping and bird watching, especially for cardinals. She was a big fan of KU and Duke. Glenda loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Lyle D. Ensz of Hutchinson; two daughters, Rae Jean Stern of El Cajon, Calif. and Cheryl Steinert of Hoisington; three grandchildren, Jason, Sabrina and Shane; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willis Hassman of Hutchinson and Howard Hassman of Salina; two sisters, Leah Joan Dunham of Dallas, Texas and Ilo McKenzie of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hassman; and sister, Vonda Byrne.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Crossroads Christian Church with Pastor Wayne Pittman officiating. Burial will be at the North Inman Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. today with the family to receive friends from 6 - 8p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the church in care of thr funeral home.
