LARNED — Gonsalo (Steve) E. Lemuz, 63, died Sept. 5 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester Minnesota. He was born Dec. 10, 1949, at Larned, the son of Circilo and Josefa Marguez Lemuz. He worked in the Engineering Department at the Larned State Hospital and was a lifetime area resident.
Mr. Lemuz was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned.
On Oct. 19, 1974, he married Dana Bush in Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Nathan and Scott, both of Larned; four brothers, Tony and Isaac, Larned, Jesse, Great Bend, and Robert, Rozel; five sisters, Angela Rayla, Mary Del-Hierro, Louise Pierce and Helen Asher, all of Great Bend, and Ramona Palleschi, Winthrop, Maine; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy; and five brothers, Lawrence, Andres, Luis, Luciano and Frank Lemuz.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery with military graveside rights. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Memorials may be sent to the Grandkids Educational Fund in care of the mortuary.
