Gordon L. Young, 69, died Dec. 28 at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend. He was born March 12, 1941, at Pratt, the son of LeRoy Franklin and Phylotis Iona (Chance) Young. He married Donna Jean McGrath on March 12, 1961, at Sun City. A Great Bend resident since 1966, coming from Pratt, he was a salesman for Log-Tech Inc.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, David LeRoy Young, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and two grandchildren, Madison Young and Morgan Young. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Richard Young, and one sister, Gayle Branson.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home, with the Rev. Doyle Smith officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
