ST. JOHN — Grant Lee Frink, age 23, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan. He was born on May 15, 2000 in Crete, Neb., the son of Robert Troy, Sr., and Karla Jean (Winterlin) Frink. Grant attended Larned High School for two years, then later attended Macksville High School, graduating with the class of 2019.
After attending Salina Technical College, Grant came back to St. John to work for Davis Electrical as a HVAC technician and later became part owner. Grant received his certification in HVAC from Salina Technical College. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge, attended Trinity Community Church, and trusted Jesus Christ as his savior.
Survivors include both parents, of St. John; brothers, T.J. (Kory) Frink, St. John, Justin Frink, St. John; aunts, Tonia (Larry) Frink-Huslig, Pratt, Kan., Beth (Todd) Reimer, Arlington, Texas, Cheryl (Don) Dockum, Auburn, Maine; paternal grandparents, Steve “Papa” and Jolene “Grammy” Frink, St. John. He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, DeWayne and Leona Winterlin.
Visitation will be Friday, June 30, 2023 at Minnis Chapel, St. John from 1- 7 p.m. with family present from 5- 7 p.m. Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the IOOF Lodge, 700 E. 1st Ave., St. John, Ks., with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. A scholarship fund is being established in memory of Grant for a Stafford County High School student desiring to further his/her education in the HVAC and Electrical field, in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
