KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Harriet Grove Brown, 97, formerly of Larned, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2016, at KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. Born July 24, 1918, in Larned, she was the daughter of Harry and Nettie Grove. She attended Larned schools and Kansas State University. On Jan. 24, 1942, she married Ned M. Brown and made Larned their home until moving to Prairie Village, in 2006 upon Ned’s death.
Survivors include a son, Michael (DJ) of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter Debbie Converse (Arlyn) of Leawood; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Roberta; and a son, Robert Ned Brown.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2 at the First Presbyterian Church in Larned with a reception following at the church. Private family burial will be at Larned Cemetery.
