Hazel Alberta Edwards, 63, passed away Sept. 2, 2020, at the University of Kansas Health System – Great Bend Campus. She was born on July 29, 1957, at Hill City to Cleophas and Alberta (Bratton) Edwards. 

Coming from Hill City in 1980, Hazel was a Great Bend resident. She was a department manager at Walmart for 34 years. She was one of Jehovah Witnesses and liked to travel for international bible conventions. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and working on her house and in her yard. She especially loved being with her family. She enjoyed working on construction of Kingdom Halls and participating in the ministry work.

Survivors include, her sister, Sharlene Smith and her husband Lewis of Great Bend; one niece, Jaclyn Smith; four nephews, Steve Smith, Travis Smith, David Smith, and Kevin Smith; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers.
