JUNCTION CITY — Heather Dawn Allen, 41, died June 7, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Born Oct. 14, 1973, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Michael Dale and Sharon (Bruno) Vanaman. On Oct. 10, 1999, she married Shawn Allen in Great Bend. A resident of Junction City since 2006, coming from Great Bend, she was a LPN.
Survivors include her husband, Shawn Allen, of the home; mother and step-father, Sharon and Steve Oszman of Junction City; two brothers, Spanky Vanaman and his wife Veronica of Great Bend, and Levi Ellis and his wife Amanda of Holyrood; and three nieces, Natalie, Makayla and Jasalyn. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Dale Vanaman; and grandparents, Ernie and Marian Vanaman and J. B. and Mary Bruno.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Heather Allan Funeral Expense Fund in care of the funeral home.
