Helene Ann Elizabeth Dixon, 82, died march 11, 2016 at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood, She was born April 5, 1933 at Ava, Mo, the Daughter of Ulysses and Rebecca (Clinton) Freeman.
Married Gerald Dixon September 30, 1963.
She was an in-home caregiver.
Mrs. Dixon was a Great Bend resident for more than 55 years.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and camping at the lake.
Survivors include Husband, Gerald Dixon of the home, One son, Gerry Dixon of Franklin Lakes, N.J.; One daughter, Arlene Williams of Ontario, Ore.; Four grandchildren: Jason Morin, Kelly Jones, Katie Dixon and Blake Dixon and Four great-grandchildren: Madison, Molly, Kendall and Ryan.
Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters and three great-grandchildren, Jonas, Hope and Faith.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Dick Ogle officiating. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 19, at Brushy Knob Cemetery in Ava, Mo. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time, Wednesday, March 16, at Bryant Funeral Home and from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo. Memorials are requested to Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
