FLORISSANT, Colo. — James E. "Jim" Johnson, 60, died Jan. 2 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born June 6, 1950, at Alva, Okla., the son of Harold E. and Elaine (Lane) Johnson. A Florissant, Colo., resident for 30 years, coming from Cave Junction, Ore., he owned a Jim Johnson’s Services.
Mr. Johnson was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Macksville.
Survivors include his parents, of Great Bend; a sister, Jane Howard, of Great Bend; and a nephew, Bart Howard and wife Brooke, Las Vegas, Nev. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Mason Howard.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with the Rev. Hal Staats officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Hospice House of Hutchinson, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
