Jane E. Bemis passed away on March 8, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a lengthy illness. Jane was born on Aug. 4, 1938 in Sparta, Wisc. to Elmer and Lola Olsen and was one of four daughters.

Jane married George W. Bemis in 1959 in Wisconsin and they moved to Great Bend, Kan. where they began raising a family.

Jane was predeceased by her husband George; and her three sisters Doris Stenzel, Joyce Heenan, and Janet Swan. Jane is survived by her two daughters, Claire (Arthur Hagar) of Everett Wash., Barb (Craig Peterson) of Salt Lake City, Utah; three grandchildren, Kristen and Cassie Hoberecht, and Christopher Peterson; and two great grandchildren, Skylar and Maddie Bowers.

Per the deceased’s request, there will be no service. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials: Chasing Tails, 1700 Lincoln, Great Bend, KS 67530; Great Bend Humane Society, 1521 S. 281 Highway, Great Bend, KS 67530.
