Jane Marie Youngers 1953 - 2022

Jane Marie Youngers, age 69 years, of Garfield, Kansas and formerly of Great Bend, passed away early on Thursday morning, March 10, 2022 at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, Kansas. Jane was born on February 20, 1953 at Great Bend, Kansas to Anthony Peter and Marguerite Arleen (Doonan) McAnulla. She graduated from Great Bend High School in 1971 and then completed the Nursing Program at Barton Community College and attained her Registered Nurse license. Jane later went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing degrees. She worked for over 20 years at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend, half of which was working in Pediatrics and half in Obstetrics. Jane later did Home Healthcare in Florida and South Carolina, and upon returning to the area she worked at Larned State Hospital for two years before becoming an Instructor (and later Assistant Director) in the Nursing Program at Barton Community College.

She was united in marriage to Edward G. Youngers on July 19, 1997 at Great Bend, Kansas. Jane retired in 2015.  She loved to sew, play piano, loved gardening and genealogy, but above all else she loved her career and dearly loved her grandchildren. Jane was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Great Bend.

Survivors include her husband, Edward G. Youngers of Garfield, Kansas; two daughters: Tammatha Blankinship of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Tina Marie (Ken) Bond of Athens, Texas; one son Jim (Bekah) Blankinship of Provo, Utah and one stepson Anthony James Youngers of Gillette, Wyoming; eleven grandchildren: Derek (Juli) Johnson, Levi Shaul, Alex Shaul, Catherine Blankinship, William Bond, Mackson Bond, Emma Marie Bond, Madison Bond, Sawyer Blankinship, Wyatt Blankinship, and Millie Jane Blankinship; one great-grandson Anthony Johnson; three brothers: Steve (Debi) McAnulla of Great Bend, Kansas, Mike (Marie) McAnulla of Ozark, Missouri, and Roger (Ronda) McAnulla of Great Bend, Kansas; nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Jim and Don McAnulla.

Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5851 Eisenhower Avenue, Great Bend, Kansas. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery near Great Bend.
