SHAWNEE, Okla. — Janice Lynn Roughton (McArthur) departed peacefully on March 16, 2021 in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Janice was born Jan. 4, 1938 in Ada, Okla. She attended Alpena High School & College, later transferred to Central Michigan University. Janice spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family. She enjoyed traveling, watching tennis, drinking her morning tea and frappos, painting, and solving crossword puzzles.
Janice’s legacy will be remembered by her family and friends for her witty charm, endless support and love. For others, by the countless lives she touched volunteering at Shawnee Regional Hospital, her church and other outreach programs within the community.
Preceded in death by, Revis Roughton (husband); Scott Roughton (son), Monte Kinzel (son-in-law). Survived by her three daughters Lisa (Terry) Cook, Fran (Neil) Werth, Dena Kinzel; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
Memorial service will be held 10 a.m., St.John Lutheran Church, Saturday March 20th, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in her name to St.John Lutheran Church.
