OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Jay R. Creacy Sr., 52, died Sept. 10, 2016, in Oklahoma City, Okla. where he had resided for several years.
Born June 29, 1964, he was the son of Wayne E. and Darlene Thomason Creacy. He was employed in the oilfield as a roughneck for many years. More recently he remodeled houses.
Survivors include two children, April Creacy, Washington; and Jay R. Creacy Jr., Larned; a brother, Edward (Pat) Creacy; two sisters, Brenda (Randy) Creacy Wetzel and Linda Creacy, both of Great Bend; two grandchildren, Izobel Creacy, Washington; and Colton Berscheidt, Great Bend; six nephews, Lonnie (Christy Creacy, Garden City; Robbie (Wendi) Lea, Lyons; Michael Cole, McPherson; Sam (Nicci) Williams, McPherson; Dennis Price and Daniel Creacy, both of Wichita; a niece, Jennie Williams, Stafford; several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a niece, Michelle Price Murillo.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the First St. Church of God, 601 E. 1st in Hoisington, with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Memorials are suggested to the church.
