ANDERSON, Mo. — Jeffrey “Steve” Nutting. 58, passed away Oct. 17, 2015, at National Healthcare in Joplin, Mo. Born Jan. 12, 1957, in Eureka, he was the son of Clyde Leroy and Jane Irene (Cox) Nutting. He attended school in Great Bend, and graduated high school in Bogue. He worked in the oil fields of Kansas, and later worked in construction as a welder in various states. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.
Steve served his country in the United States Navy for four years.
Survivors include a sister, Pam Beckman and husband John of Miami, Okla.; two brothers, Howard “Lee” Nutting and wife Jane and Terry Nutting, both of Andeson, Mo.; two nieces, Kristina Babbitt and husband Bryan of Gilbert, Ariz., and Stephanie Lang and husband Tyson of Hays; five nephews, Travis Jones of Carl Junction, Mo., Chad Jones of Miami, Okla., Marcus Nutting and wife Morgan of Cherokee, Kilyn Nutting of Joplin, Mo., and Pryce McDaniel of Dekalb, Ill.; one uncle, Bobby Ramsey; one aunt, Dorothy Nutting; four great-nieces; and six great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a brother Jerry Dean.
A memorial graveside with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday. Oct. 23, in the Cummings Cemetery near Tiff City, Mo. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
