Jeffrey S. Jensen, 61, died Nov. 13 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Born Aug. 2, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was the son of Donald W. Jensen and Jean Bowker Jensen. A lifetime resident of Ellinwood and Great Bend, he was the owner of Jensen and Associates Insurance in Ellinwood. He was a former Kansas state president of the Professional Insurance Agents and Casualty Insurance Counselors. On April 10, 1969, he married Sally J. Schuetz in Great Bend.

Mr. Jensen was a member of the Faith Community Church in Great Bend, the Rotary Club, Grove Park Golf Club, Sons of the Legion, former EAE (Chamber) Board president and the Ellinwood Area Health Care Foundation Board, all in Ellinwood.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Jensen of Great Bend; a son, Justin Jensen of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a daughter, Jennifer and husband Brian Graves of Hood River, Ore.; two brothers, Jon J. Jensen of Topeka and Josh A. Jensen of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Kristin Weis of Richardson, Texas, and Kathryn L. Jensen of Hays; his mother, Jean Jensen of Ellinwood; mother-in-law, Dorothy Schuetz of Great Bend and brother-in-law, Dr. Perry and Nancy Schuetz of Great Bend; and three grandchildren, Morgan, Michelle and Maxwell Graves. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Jensen, and a sister, Karen Ann Ireland.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Community Church in Great Bend with Pastor Sandy Kennedy officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kimple Funeral Home in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to the Faith Community Church and the Ellinwood Area Health Care Foundation.
