Jeremiah Elroy “Jerry” Huffman, 85, passed away peacefully June 2, 2024, in his home in Great Bend, Kan.
Jerry was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Missoula, Mont. to Marvin and Eva (McCart) Huffman. He married Mary Engstrom March 19, 2007, in Great Bend.
After graduation, Jerry was a truck driver. He then went on to work as a catcher on a drilling rig. Jerry was a faithful servant of Heritage Baptist Church. He enjoyed lending a hand volunteering for community projects. He loved to throw a line fishing, put together puzzles, and watch westerns. One of his favorite shows was the Lawrence Welk Show.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Francis Huffman and John Huffman.
Graveside Service services will be Friday, June 7, 2024, at 1 p.m., at Great Bend Cemetery North. Reverend Ken Gray will be presiding. Visitation will take place 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS.
