GARDEN CITY — Jessica Cheyanne Shearer (Potter), 15, of Garden City, former resident of Sublette, died on July 4 in Great Bend. Born Feb. 19, 1996, in La Junta, Colo., she was the daughter of Stephen Shearer and Alida Dawn Shriver.

Survivors include her father, Stephen Shearer of Florida; parents, Alida and Kim Potter of Garden City; a sister, Daisha Shearer of Garden City; grandparents, Charles and Dolline Skilling of Garden City, Billie Jo Potter of Sublette, and Carl Potter Sr. and wife Joyce of Yates Center; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Shriver, and a half-sister, Darcy Dawn Spurgeon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Christian Church in Sublette with David Erwin, minister, presiding. Burial will be at the Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family, in care of Haskell County Funeral Home, Box 607, Sublette, KS 67877.
