GREENFIELD, Mo. — Jimmy Lee White, 74, passed away June 17, 2016, in Springfield, Mo. Born Oct. 13, 1941, in Polk County, Mo. he was the son of Harvey Lee “Blue” White and Virginia Lois (Hook). He served in the United States Air Force from February 1960 to June 1967, and upon an honorable discharge he worked in various sales and bookkeeping positions throughout his life.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce White of Hoisington; daughter, Jina Sezenne and son-in-law Joe Arellano of Garden City; two sons, Brian White of Hoisington, and Blaine and daughter-in-law Jenn White of Omaha, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alan Claxton and wife Karen of Bryan, Texas, Sis Kahl of Springfield, Mo., and Jerry Claxton and wife Jackie of Springfield, Mo., and their children; lifetime friends, CC and Bun McLemore of Greenfield, Mo.; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey “Blue” White; mother, Virginia “Lois” Claxton; stepfather, Burvel “Pap” Claxton; and daughter, Jane Marie White.
