WICHITA — John Gaylyn Schremmer, 74, died Aug. 3, 2012 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
Born on May 30, 1938 in Great Bend, he was the son of John A. and Marie T. (Hlavaty) Schremmer.
A resident of Wichita since 1969, he was a retired hair stylist.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; his sisters Connie Kay Pickert, Mary Jeanette Smith; his brother Stan Schremmer; his children, Kevin Schremmer, Pamela George, Sheri Hicks, Troy Schremmer, and Tina Nickel; his step-daughter, Sandra Collett; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Central Christian Community Church, 2900 North Rock Road in Wichita, at 3 p.m. on Oct. 7 with Pastor Roger London officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wichita. Visit: www.cornerstoneofwichita.com.
